About Los Angeles Bureau of Sanitation
The City of Los Angeles, Bureau of Sanitation, is responsible for three core programs: Clean Water (Wastewater), Watershed Protection (Stormwater), and Solid Resources. Our mission is to protect public health and the environment.
Contribution to Saving the Environment
The Bureau of Sanitation provides wastewater treatment which benefits the environment through discharge of high quality water to the local rivers and oceans. The Bureau also implements programs to improve the quality of stormwater flows and increase infiltration. In the Solid Resources program, we continue to expand recycling programs and develop technologies that will minimize waste to landfills.
Key Initiatives Connected to CleanTech LA
