U.S. Government Arranged Most Loans for Clean Energy in 2011
Last year, the U.S. government arranged the most financing for clean energy projects, surpassing development banks in Europe and Brazil.
Clean energy investment rose 33% to $55.9 billion in 2011, exceeding China for the first time in 2008 with a 1% increase to $47.4 billion. However, as clean energy initiatives are expiring, spending may soon decline by 2013.
